Google Pixel 6a Battery Life Change

Google announced some models were impacted with a battery fire risk issue. They pushed out a mandatory update to the latest Android 16 that would limit the battery charging speed and capacity as a mitigation. My phone was on Android 15, and the forced update took 2 weeks to be applied from the original deadline. Pixel 6a Battery Performance Program (rollout started July 8 2025 over period of weeks).

My phone had less than the 400 cycles so before and after the update it behaved as normal. After the update and reaching 400 cycles the battery charge capacity dropped to 63%.
